These plans provide all the templates and dimensions required to make a full-size violin similar to the later instruments by Stradivari. They are not intended to replicate a particular historic instrument, but are accurate in general terms to Stradivari’s designs. The Plans are presented on two sheets of A1 paper, and the maker new to the art of violin making is referred to the book listed elsewhere on this site titled The Art of Violin Making, which provides comprehensive instructions on violin making. Shipping Guarantee : Plans are posted First Class Royal Mail to UK destinations. For other countries, Royal Mail Airmail is used - this can take from one week to three weeks in some cases. I guarantee to make sure you receive your plans; in the unlikely event that they do not arrive, I will send you replacement plans free of charge if they do not arrive after 15 working days (UK addresses). For European countries, I will send replacements if the plans fail to arrive after 20 working days; for countries outside Europe this will be 25 working days.However, if you want the plans to arrive extra fast and with greater security, I can use either Royal Mail Airsure® or Royal Mail International Signed For™ ; depending on which country you are in. This costs 5.00 GBP extra.
