The Cello Case Shop offers a range of fourteen designs of cases for violoncellos; from the basic model in black, through to the deluxe ivory cello case with built-in wheels.

All our cello-cases are made by Britain's leading manufacturer of musical instrument cases, Hiscox Cases.

Hiscox Cello Cases are made from a high impact ABS plastic outer shell, bonded to an inner moulding made from a unique blend of cellular foam - the Hiscox cello case has outstanding structural rigidity and will resist distortion even with the weight of a 180 pound man standing on the back!

A custom designed aluminum valance extends deep into the base and lid. All the catches, hinges, "D" rings and the main handle are riveted through the plastic outer shell and into this valance, adding to the strength and longevity. The shoulder handle and feet are riveted into large aluminum back-plates. The back fits accurately to the lid. The inner moulding is soft enough to cushion the most delicate instrument, yet firm enough to provide structural rigidity.

The case structure has been designed to provide high shock absorption, and the insulation properties of the inner moulding help protect the cello from extreme temperature changes.

Cello Cases:

Standard Cello Case

With it's unique 'Liteflite' double moulded construction, this case is everything a cello needs for ultimate protection. Strong, rigid, tough and lightweight - only 5.2kg!

The Ivory and Burgundy outer shells are a higher specification than the Black, providing even better impact resistance, and have hand stitched leather shoulder handles.

Because of its lighter colour, the Ivory shell also gives increased thermal protection.

Finished with a burgundy crushed velour interior, the instrument nestles on 96 sq ins of foam cushion padding. The case includes 2 bow holders in the lid and 2 heavy duty carrying straps.

Deluxe Cello Case

Using the same world beating 'Liteflite' double moulded construction, the deluxe case has 148 sq ins of firmer cushion padding to give even greater shock absorption than our standard case. Upholstered in a luxury quality velour, the case is finished with 2 hand stitched leather shoulder handles.

As with the standard case, the Ivory and Burgundy shells are a higher specification than the Black, giving even greater impact resistance. The case includes 2 bow holders in the lid and 2 heavy duty carrying straps.
